Our latest special exhibition, running 12 October to 12 March, celebrates the R. Tucker Thompson tall ship, launched in Mangawhai in 1985. Since then it has voyaged the world and is now used for sail training for youth throughout Aoteaeroa/New Zealand.

We invite Friends of the Museum, our members to join us for our Annual General Meeting. Refreshments will be served.

Join us for a bus tour and lunch on Monday, June 26th as we survey the history of Te Arai, Tomarata, and area. We’ll motor through old roads and trails while our history volunteers tell stories and point out landmarks of the past 150 years. Lunch is included, a hearty club sandwich and sundries at the Tomarata Hall.  $40 tickets, $30 for Friends of the Museum. We leave at 11am from the Bus Parking Lot. Tickets required in advance.
