We are always looking for new people to join our team of over 90 volunteers in areas such as education, finance, building maintenance, collections, restorations, front of house, events, and displays.

We are a community The museum is a central hub, with many groups using the facility. As well as educational groups, you’ll meet people and be part of something truly special. Our volunteers have a morning tea together every month, and there are lots of opportunities to work with a team or alone.

We are dedicated to service We are inspired by the history of Mangawhai — a place that has always been about regular people stepping in to do what needs to be done for the good of everyone.

What kinds of volunteers are we looking for right now?

**Front of House**

**Receptionist** We would love someone passionate about customer service to join our front of house team and help welcome the world to Mangawhai. Our systems are easy to use and learn and we hope for a commitment of 2 hours a week / fortnightly.

**Education**

**Educator** We would love another bright and patient educator to lead occasional school groups through the museum and nearby Historic Village. We hope for a commitment of a few hours every month or two.
**Facilitator** We could use an organised and able facilitator to assist with bookings, set-up, and takedown for school groups and school holiday programs. We hope for a commitment of a few hours every month or two.
